Works
A body of work spanning three decades — black-and-white photography exploring perception, light and the silent geometry of the world.
Inhuman
There is a moment when proximity ceases to be recognition. Contemporary man draws closer to others, to things, to situations — and instead of seeing more clearly, loses focus. Closeness does not reveal: it dissolves. This project emerges from direct observation, free of moral judgment: human beings have progressively lost the ability to recognize one another. Not for lack of contact — never before have we been so physically and digitally close — but through a slow process of dehumanization that…
Women in Pieces
"Women in Pieces" is a visual exploration challenging conventional perceptions of femininity through blurred macro photographs of female body fragments. Each image - an angle of a leg, the curve of a shoulder, the contour of a bone - becomes a metaphor for the complexity of female experience. The project plays with the idea of fragmentation not as incompleteness, but as a celebration of female multidimensionality. These abstract images reflect feminine thought: fluid, adaptable, capable of…
A Touch of Life
Significant encounters in my daily life. Through spontaneous shots, it captures moments of genuine connection with people met by chance or briefly known. Each image represents a shared instant, transforming a fleeting encounter into a lasting memory. The project explores how brief interactions can leave a profound imprint, revealing the uniqueness of each individual crossed in life's journey.
Caucastic
A collection of black and white photographs taken throughout my daily life. These are intuitive and spontaneous images, captured without planning. The project explores contrasts, shapes, and ordinary moments encountered by chance. Each photo is a visual fragment reflecting my immediate perception of the world around me.
Fractioned
"Fractioned" explores the fragmentation of identity through light. I use a light grid to reveal human forms from darkness, slicing contours and creating a surreal effect. The stark contrast between light and shadow deconstructs and reconstructs the subject, inviting the viewer to reflect on the fractured nature of perception and being. This black and white series plays with partial revelation, allowing imagination to complete what remains hidden. The strips of light not only illuminate but also…
Dark Matter
"White Revealer" is a photographic series in collaboration with Teresa Basili. We use white paint and powder directly on the models' bodies. The white reveals and transforms the human figure in darkness, creating strong contrast. We paint on skin, turning the body into a three-dimensional canvas. The white traces lines, highlights curves, and creates shapes that oscillate between recognizable and abstract. The powder adds texture and nuances to the images. Each photograph captures a moment of…
Stratifications
"Stratifications" is a photographic series that explores the complexity of the human being through visual and conceptual layers. Created in collaboration with Teresa Basili, co-author of the project, who lent her body as both canvas and model, this collection merges body painting and photography to create evocative black and white images. The work is the result of an intuitive process that combines the photographer's artistic vision with the model's bodily experience. Each shot reveals…
Antimatter
A journey to the edges of perception. Through these images, I explore the invisible and challenge the limits of the visible. Macro and micro merge, creating a visual language that transcends ordinary reality. Each photograph is a fragment of a hidden universe, where organic and inorganic lose their conventional meaning. The contrast between light and shadow reveals forms and textures that oscillate between the familiar and the alien. This series stems from my obsession with what escapes the…
Surfacing
"Lost in White" is a visual narrative exploring the human condition in empty and undefined spaces. This series of high-contrast black and white photographs investigates isolation, disorientation, and minimalism. The images capture fragments of human bodies, solitary figures, and bare architectural spaces. An ethereal and surreal atmosphere emerges from a minimalist aesthetic that highlights contemporary loneliness and fragmented identity. The project moves between presence and absence, form and…
Entanglement
"Entanglement" is a series of photographic portraits that explores the bond between two individuals, capturing the essence of friends and people I admire for their unique vision. This project aims to highlight the invisible connections that emerge at the moment of the shot. Each portrait represents an encounter between two people, a moment of interaction that goes beyond mere visual representation, revealing hidden aspects of the subject's personality. Through these images, I aim to capture not…
