“Fractioned” explores the fragmentation of identity through light. I use a light grid to reveal human forms from darkness, slicing contours and creating a surreal effect. The stark contrast between light and shadow deconstructs and reconstructs the subject, inviting the viewer to reflect on the fractured nature of perception and being.
This black and white series plays with partial revelation, allowing imagination to complete what remains hidden. The strips of light not only illuminate but also distort, creating tension between what is visible and what is concealed. Through this technique, I explore themes of identity, perception, and the elusive nature of visual reality.
