“Stratifications” is a photographic series that explores the complexity of the human being through visual and conceptual layers. Created in collaboration with Teresa Basili, co-author of the project, who lent her body as both canvas and model, this collection merges body painting and photography to create evocative black and white images. The work is the result of an intuitive process that combines the photographer’s artistic vision with the model’s bodily experience. Each shot reveals different levels of interpretation, from the texture of painted skin to the emotions evoked by poses and expressions. The work invites the viewer to reflect on the multiple facets of human identity and how these are stratified to form a complex and continuously evolving entity.
